First Meeting

Jasper threw the baseball back to Carlisle, wondering when the group was going to show up. It was just after 9, but of course they didn't really have a specific estimated time of arrival. They were about to find out if Sarah was telling the truth, or if this was a set up. The three against the entire Calumny would not end up, but Jasper put his trust in his wife's visions. She hadn't called or come running through the trees, which must mean things were going alright so far.

The packs were in place, and all they could now was wait.

Carlisle caught the ball that jasper threw him and passed it to Edward. Looking at both of his sons he remembered the stressful time of protecting Bella but knew it was worth it to see Edward Happy, that how he felt right now towards two member of his family.

Edward caught the ball absent mindedly and tossed it to Jasper while he scanned the thoughts within his range. The wolves were antsy, but understanding what was needed of them. It surprised him that Sam wasn't present at first, but ultimately he knew Sam would want to stay near La Push. Renesmee was safe with Charlie and Billy who were back from fishing.

Sam made a point to run by the Black's house regularly to check on her. Currently, she was dazzling the men with a dance. Edward smiled slightly at his daughter's antics but didn't say anything.

Jasper was focused, and significantly calmer now that he was away from all the emotions. Most of the night had been hard for him, and Edward remained silent at the mansion simply to not add things onto his brother. Alice was still mad about the entire idea and Jasper's ability was able to tell she was the most upset about it. It was ahrd for him to leave her this morning. Edward simply told himself he would return, and was able to assure Bella of such notions.

"They still aren't in the area," he finally said, letting his father and brother know this 'normal' charade still needed to continue.

"They're here," Edward said quietly while continuing the baseball charade.

"Let them come to us," he instructed as he started scanning their minds.

Carlisle's back became errect as soon as he herd his sons words.Straining his ears he waited.

There they were, the three cullens acting like they didn't have a care in the world just playing baseball. they smelled a little differently which bothered me and intrigued me also. i looked at franz tyring to get a feel for what he was thinking but of course i am no mind reader.

"Let's just get this over with," I said quietly while walking towards the three.

I wasn't sure if their baseball throwing was a ruse or something they did normally but it didn't quite sit with me.

Jasper raised his face towards the three as they stood just feet away. He worked to keep his body relaxed while he waited for Carlisle to address them. He tested the air, but nothing set off red flags yet. They were bothered and eager, but not in a fighting mood. Not yet at least. He waited with his ability under control, until it would be time to use it.

Jacey tensed where she stood. She couldn't see them but she could smell them. Her senses went wild as the terrible smell filled her nostrils. Quietly she looked around and trotted around, eager to see what was happening. Finally she caught a glimpse of them. There were three, over by the baseball feild, facing Ed, Jaz and the Doc.

Carlisle took a step forward to the group of vampires.

"Welcome." he stated simply.His eyes watched there movements carefully.

"Thank you, I am Philip,this is Franz , and that is Tomas. Sorry to barge in on you like this" i figured i should try to put on a nice face that way ill find more stuff out that way. "what a different atmosphere you have here."

I looked around, observing the environment. I was tense and my body was stiff. At any moment they could attack, and I wanted to be ready.
I looked at the three men, starring coldly at each one. My thoughts were completely hidden, or so I thought. And any that might slip out were only wondering thoughts, such as "Are they going to attack?" "Should we fight back?" "What will this all come to?". Fool them early, make them think I didn't want this fight.
As for my emotions, all I felt was a fear rippling up and down my spine. If we died here and today, this only proved my thoughts that the Cullens were vile beings and that we had done nothing really to stop them.

I looked over at Phillip, hoping he could feel what I was feeling.

The trio's emotions were vastly different, but determination and anticipation were the most palpable. This worried Jasper but he didn't let it show. Resisting the urge to send out any effecting waves of emotion, Jasper smiled pleasantly at the group.

"What can we do for you?" He asked in his charismatic, open tone.

Jacey felt an involuntary low growl ripple through her throat as she watched and listened intently to the vampires. They smelled terrible and her eyes were practically watering from their stench but she stayed put. Quietly observing the actions of her friends and enemies.

I heardthe low growl, and grinned smugly. So they did want a fight.... why else would they bring th wolves with them? Unless they were for protection.
I looked over at my brother and whispered fast to him what I'd heard. So fast and so quiet, the words would only be caught between us.
I then looked back at the three Cullen's and softened my expression till it was melted down into the same, fake smile the younger one had on. I believe his name was Jasper.
"We are just... observing this strange little town." I assured. It was half true, we were sort of observing the town. But mainly we were trying to observe the Cullens.
I felt I musn't say that right now. It would ruin the mood we had going. Making them feel like lab rats wasn't the goal at this moment.
